As we
approach a new season of riding, many of us will encounter a number of
close calls, some will actually encounter an actual spill where there is
nothing more than a little broken plastic, bent forks, twisted steel,
financial drain from our wallets and others a little lost pride and
embarrassment. There will be those that will encounter a more severe
accident where body and limb will need to go through an extensive
recovery period of lost time at work, loss of income and a few will
never walk again or require a prosthesis to do some of the simplest
things we take for granted everyday like ride our motorcycles, walk,
pickup a plate, wash our bikes or hold a small child in our arms.
In 2004,
4,008 bikers paid the ultimate price for the sport/hobby/lifestyle we
love. Our families, friends, co-workers and fellow riders will be most
